Let’s Review the June Baking Challenge
June 2021 Sally’s Baking Challenge Recipe: Asiago and Sun-Dried Tomato Quick Bread. This simple savory quick bread was a change from the regular sweet/dessert recipes typically assigned for the monthly challenges. And I wanted you to feel like you had total control over the flavor, so I gave lots of fun options for experimenting. Participants went wild with this!! It was so exciting!! My team and I saw MANY different and creative variations of this bread including olive + feta, chive + cheddar, fresh garden herb, feta + corn, adding pepperoni, caramelized onions, ham + cheese, cheddar + jalapeño, cheddar + bacon, etc! Some baked the bread as mini loaves, in a skillet, or as muffins.
This recipe was proof that something as simple as quick bread can open a world of kitchen creativity. Thank you so much for participating! We gathered as many asiago and sun-dried tomato quick bread emailed photo entries as we could and included them below. They’re all so perfect!
Challenge winner for June is Jill and she has been notified. 🙂
