November Baking Challenge
NOVEMBER BAKING CHALLENGE
November 2019 Baking Challenge: Pecan Praline Pumpkin Pie (recipe coming tomorrow)
Did you know we’re on the verge of our 4th annual Pie Week? Surely the November Baking Challenge must be all about pie! I made an unforgettable praline pumpkin pie and I cannot wait for you to try it. Since pumpkin is a specific flavor, pie crust designs, which was the November 2017 Sally’s Baking Challenge, will be the alternative. That way even if you don’t like pumpkin, you can still participate with a homemade pie. Woohoo!

Let’s Review the October Baking Challenge
October Baking Challenge: Homemade Caramel Apples
You nailed this recipe! Making homemade candy is no easy feat, but many of you were up for the caramel apple challenge in October. Some had trouble with the caramel not thickening up, but cooking it a little longer helped. Caramel apples are a staple treat during the fall season and I’m so glad you crossed it off your lists. Now you’ll feel more confident making them in the future, too!
One of my favorite comments came from reader Sonja:
“Love this recipe! The apples were so delicious and the homemade caramel is definitely so much better than any store bought one. Thank you Sally, for another great challenge recipe.”
We gathered as many caramel apples photo entries as we could and included them below. (Email is the best way to help guarantee your photo will be included!)
Giveaway winner for September is Jennifer and she has been notified. ?
