Coffee for Beauty?
Are you a fan of coffee? If so, you might be delighted to know it can help with your beauty as well. The texture of finely ground coffee beans is perfect to be used for exfoliating and moisturizing your skin. Take a look at these different ways you can use coffee for beauty.
Make Your Own Coffee Scrub
Coffee is the perfect consistency to use as a scrub for your skin once it has been ground up. You want to use freshly ground coffee, making sure it is ground finely. Do not use instant coffee for this! Take your coffee grounds, and add some coconut oil and your preferred type of coarse sugar. Both white and brown sugar work well for the scrub. You can then add in a little bit of oil like jojoba oil with some essential oils. Vanilla
is good to use with the coffee scrub. This is best when used on your body in the shower, as it will go down the drain without clogging it. Alternatively, you can use Natural Arabica Coffee Scrub too.
Coffee to Reduce Your Puffy Eyes
Another beauty option you have for using coffee is to reduce the puffiness of your tired eyes. Coffee doesn’t just perk up your mind anymore! To use coffee on your puffy eyes, you first need to brew a fresh cup or pot of coffee, and set it aside to cool. You are not using the coffee, but the coffee grounds itself that have been brewed, so use a regular coffee maker and not a Keurig. Take the coffee grounds once they have cooled and apply them directly to your puffy eyes, being careful to avoid your eyes and only touch the skin around them. Let them sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing.
Remove Scalp Buildup
If you have buildup on your scalp, the coarseness of coffee can help a lot with exfoliating it. It removes dead skin cells and any buildup from your hair styling products or leave-in conditioner. Just grab your freshly ground coffee and apply a handful to your scalp after your hair has been wet. Rub it onto your scalp just like you would any shampoo, leave it for about a minute, and rinse off. You can then use your regular
shampoo and conditioner to make sure all the coffee is cleaned from your hair and scalp.
Use it on Your Feet
Lastly, you can exfoliate your feet with the coffee. Use an organic brand of coffee to get some extra antioxidants and create a scrub with the coffee grounds and some coconut oil. This will remove dead skin cells and leave behind soft feet that are ready for your summer sandals.
