Blumarine is blooming in the most beautiful way with a floral-fruity composition that follows the fashion collection of the house and the floral patterns used on the Blumarine materials. B. Blumarine will arrive in April 2019 with a key accord of Cabbage rose extrait (also Centifolia Rose or Rose de May), celebrating its romanticism and elegancy. Beside the close connection to fashion, the newest release evokes magic, beauty, femininity, joy, and creative energy. |
As the brand explains: "B. Blumarine is not just the new fragrance of the legendary Italian brand; it is also the olfactive story of the secrets behind the image of the Blumarine woman. Joyous, vivacious, energetic and vibrant, she possesses the seductive lightness of a chiffon dress and the invincible strength of optimism. As romantic as a beautiful floral print and as distinctive as the color of the sky on a cloudless day, the Blumarine woman dominates the scene with naturalness and simplicity: She is always noted for her dreamy elegance, yet is also grounded in reality. Precisely for this reason, Marie Salamagne, a young creator of high-end perfumery, has built a complex olfactory score around the cabbage rose, the flower-symbol of the maison. The unmistakable scent of the "queen of roses" is also the moniker of Anna Molinari, the creative soul of Blumarine."
"B. Blumarine entices (gourmand trend) and intrigues like fashion. It is a fragrance able to transform women into top models on the catwalk," says the brand. The main role in the fragrance is given to cabbage rose (May Rose or Centifolia Rose) surrounded by fresh jasmine petals and passionflowers in full bloom. The freshness and vibrant juiciness comes from sparkling pink grapefruit, the note of cassis and pears, while the sensuality is enriched by a woody and musky trail (sandalwood, cedarwood and musks) in the base notes of the composition.

THE PACKAGING
"The rectangular parallelepiped in cut crystal reveals the precious pink hue of the fragrance. At the center of one side of the bottle, the name B. Blumarine appears in the same elegant italic font of the logo. The letters are turquoise like the precious floral print chiffon flower attached to the bottle neck with a gold chain. This unusual ornament on the bottle can also be worn as a pendant, ring or carried as a lucky charm to scent and keep in your bag, closet or drawer. The cap is a small vertical rectangle parallelepiped made of Surlyn that is heat-embossed with the transparent Blumarine logo. The bottle comes in a textured turquoise cardboard box that recreates the tactile sensation of fabric. Three sides are decorated with the same floral print of the chiffon flower, which was exclusively created by the fashion maison for this project. The ingredients, logo and technical information are printed in small tonal turquoise characters on the last side. The colors and prints are a faithful reproduction on paper of the fabric created exclusively for Blumarine. At the center of a pink square framed in gold is the name of the fragrance, B. Blumarine. The gold logo in relief is on the lid." |

All of the characters are real and play themselves, starting with Anna Molinari and her most loyal collaborators such as the talented seamstress and the people from the style and communication departments. There are also several fashion insiders: the stylist, fashion influencers Veronica Ferraro and Nina Suess, journalists (Laura Asnaghi, Gioia Carozzi, Daniela Fedi, Anna Franco) and the stage manager Titti Baiocchi. B.BLUMARINE will be available as a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml Eau de Parfum Spray from April 2019, according to Angelini Beauty, the company that owns the license over the Blumarine fragrance collection.

I must say with the ‘transform anyone into someone ready for the catwalk’ [paraphrase] would suggest maybe a little body-type diversity. Since when does that really happen, though. No jealousy, just an observation. Still, 99% of all people never see big brand deals. Regardless of body type. It’s just the way it be.
